A Reminder
“A Reminder”
So many of our beautiful farms in the state of New Hampshire have been lost to population growth and development. I find I now have such a strong sense of urgency to document as many of these beautiful, fields and old buildings before they are lost to us forever. This is one of my favorite old barns that I have the privilege of driving by, nearly every day in my travels near home. Once a large farm in Barrington New Hampshire, it used to host wonderful equine events each year. Now, instead of seeing jump fences and beautiful pastures, we see both adult and children’s toys on the front lawns of numerous McMansions. Change is inevitable they say, but thank goodness someone had the Foresight… Intelligence and Nostalgia… to leave us this simple building as a reminder of what once was.
For now, at least…

Nothing quite like photographing in New England weather. You know what they say … “If you don’t like the weather just wait five minutes!” Especially when you are photographing Down East! This image was captured by photographer Chris Keeley on an excursion to the docks at Corea, Maine. Getting socked in by fog all weekend didn’t even slow us down 😉
